Questions about CBD?

CBD, short for Cannabidiol, is a chemical compound from the Cannabid sativa plant, which is also known as hemp or marijuana. CBD interacts with the Endocannabinoids system within our body, working alongside our own natural endocannabinoids to boost our vital system in so many different ways. It is a naturally occurring substance that is used in products to impart a feeling of calm and relaxation.

Hemp is a nutrient-dense plant that is used across the globe to make food, fibre and medicine.

Hemp and marijuana are two different species from the same plant family. Think of them like a green grape and a red grape, they both come from a grapevine but they taste completely different.

The main difference between the two species is the level of THC. This is what causes a psychoactive effect, also known as a ‘high’. Hemp contains less than 0.3% of THC, marijuana contains more than 0.3%.

THC is short for Tetrahydrocannabinol which is the other well known Phyto-cannabinoid. In short CBD and THC share many of the same properties, but the main difference is that THC will cause a psychoactive effects (in other words get you high). Whereas CBD is non psychoactive and will not get you high.

There are two types of cannabinoids: endocannabinoids, which our body naturally creates, and phytocannabinoids, which are derived from cannabis and hemp.

Cannabinoids do one major thing; hey help complete balance within the body.

Cannabinoids help create balance and stability, while promoting overall wellness within our body. We naturally produce what’s called endocannabinoids within our body (2-AG & Anandamide), while the other type of cannabinoids is what’s known as Phyto-Cannabinoids which are derived form hemp and cannabis plants.

Yes! Phytocannabinoids are cannabinoids that are found within the flowers of hemp plants. In fact, hemp contains over 100 types of phytocannabinoids including, CBD.

Phytocannabinoids interact with our body’s receptors to produce numerous therapeutic effects.

The Endocannabinoid System, also known as the ECS, helps maintain homeostasis and balance in our bodies by communicating with the vital physiological systems that keep our body stay healthy.

Phytocannabinoids extracted from hemp work naturally with the body’s endocannabinoid system to help regulate a variety of processes like sleep, mood, appetite and immunity.

Endocannabinoid receptors found throughout the brain and body work with phytocannabinoids found in the plant to help support homeostasis, the body’s natural state of balance.

We use CO2 extraction allowing there to be no danger for chemical contamination. CBD produced this way is extremely pure and non-toxic as it doesn’t contain any residual compounds. This will allow you to feel the optimum benefits of CBD by supplying the highest quality products.

Everyone’s system is different, meaning there is no standard strength for everyone as we all process CBD at a different rate. Try considering the extent of why you are taking the product and the benefits you would like to experience. Once you have chosen your strength, we suggest starting with 2-3 drops morning and night to begin with.

Dedicate time to listen to your body and check in with yourself daily. From there you will have the ability to understand if you need to double your dosage or take one less drop. Instead of trying to work out how CBD is making you feel, focus on what you no longer feel…(do you no longer have those anxious thoughts and racing mind?)

The CBD process requires a little bit of patience to start with and the timeframe to reach the desired result from CBD will differ for each individual. It may take up two weeks to experience the full benefits but stay consistent, listen to your body and enjoy the journey. We promise it is worth it!

Simply shake well before use and fill the dropper with your CBD oil, dispense your suited dosage of drops under your tongue and hold for 90 seconds before swallowing.
